Beyond 90 Years
Donors are Key to Success
As a result of many generous gifts, Asbury Methodist Village's Beyond 90 Years campaign for benevolent care was a complete success!
The Benevolent Care Program provides confidential support to residents who have outlived their resources through no fault of their own - ensuring they can remain in the place for which they have worked hard and saved accordingly to live. When projections showed that rapidly increasing benevolent care needs would be inadequately funded beginning in 2019, the Beyond 90 Years campaign simed to meet these needs by raising $5.5 million for benevolent care by the end of 2017.
More than 75 individuals designated gifts to the campaign, using various gift vehicles that worked best for them. Gift to the Benevolent Care Annual Fund help meet current needs, while those for the Benevolent Care Endowment Fund support long-term needs.
Residents, leadership and voluteers joined together this past February on Asbury Methodist Village's campus in Gaithersburg, Md., to celebrate the accomplishment.
"Throughout its more than 91-year history, Asbury has never asked anyone to leave sue to exhausing their resources for reasons outside of their control," says Asbury Methodist Village Executive Director Rob Liebrich. "My hope is for every resident to thrive here at Asbury. Benevolent care and the comfort that comes with is, not only for residents but also for their loved ones, are essential for this to happen - now, five years from now, and beyond."
We are extremely grateful for the many generous individuals who helped make all of this possible!
