Williamsburg Clothes Closet

Funds raised from the Williamsburg Clothes Closet are used for the Benevolent Care needs of residents at Asbury Methodist Village.

The dictionary describes Benevolent as doing good, concerned with, or organized for the benefit of charity; provided by charity.

Over the years, here's what's been provided through proceeds from the Williamsburg Clothes Closet:

• Visits to the doctor and dentist - bills not covered by insurance
• Medical prescriptions
• Prescription eyeglasses
• Special orthopedic shoes
• Hearing aids
• Special activities

In addition, items such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and other necessary equipment not covered under any other program have also been purchased for Asbury Methodist Village residents.

The Benevolent Care Program is Asbury's promise that, should a resident reach a point where their financial resources can no longer cover the full cost of their care, through no fault of their own, Asbury will continue to take care of them as long as there are Benevolent Care funds available.

Benevolent Care is made possible through the generosity and philanthropic spirit of many friends who volunteer and donate, through programs such as the Williamsburg Lane Clothes Closet.

As we begin a new year, Asbury Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank all who work to support the Williamsburg Clothes Closet! We are fortunate to have a team of dedicated individuals who volunteer their time and talents. Since 1989, proceeds from the Williamsburg Clothes Closet have exceeded $310,000, all for the benefit of residents in need at Asbury Methodist Village.

Open Tuesday-Friday from 10am to 3pm
Closed Holidays and Snow Days.
