Springhill Specific Purpose Funds

In addition to supporting Springhill through fundraising for the Benevolent Care Fund, the Asbury Foundation also raises money for their Specific Purpose Funds.  These funds at Springhill support numerous unique projects as requested or designated by donors, or as selected from a ‘wish list’ of community needs.

These great enhancements have included a greenhouse, player piano, in-house TV station, Pergolas, card room TV system, staff education and training, and comfortable chairs for the community room, just to mention a few.  Resident Bob Taft selected the in-house TV station so that Springhill residents could view internal information such as the menu, activities, Inside Asbury with Ed Thomas, and Philanthropy Matters with Doug Myers.  Another resident, passionate about educational opportunities for both residents and associates, donated funds to setup a complete TV system that shares the multi-use card room.  When the new community room (built with money from a generous bequest) opened in 2001, numerous residents donated funds to purchase several hundred very comfortable chairs.   The unique enhancements to the community are endless through the generous donations identified in the specific purpose funds.
