Memory Support Project
In December 2009, Springhill welcomed its first residents to The Woodlands Memory Support Neighborhood at ForestView. Twenty residents now live in the comfortable new neighborhood, which celebrated the completion of Phase One with a grand opening on June 11, 2010. The project was made possible by a $1.7 million fundraising campaign that was enthusiastically supported by residents, associates, and the broader community.
The Woodlands Memory Support Neighborhood offers a therapeutic environment and programming unique to the Erie, PA region. The approach engages family and friends as a vital support system in the resident’s daily life. In addition, specially training professionals serve as surrogate family members, assisting with activities and therapies, sharing family-style dining, and providing prompts for the daily routine.
