Nursing Scholarship Fund
Securing the Future of Our Community
With nearly 50 years in operation in Central Pennsylvania, Bethany Village has a reputation for providing quality and innovative care and services to seniors. As the need for healthcare personnel grows, the need for growth and development opportunities for associates also grows in order to meet rising expectations. Providing educational opportunities helps to attract and retain exceptional associates to provide outstanding care and services to our residents.

Valuing Exceptional Associates
There is no better way to show how much we value our associates than to invest in their growth and development. Providing a grant to support associates as they seek educational opportunities is one such investment.
Requirements for associates eligible to apply for the Nursing Grant include:
- At least one year of service
- Exemplary work record during previous year of employment
- Full Time, Part Time, or PRN status
- Any department (grant is not limited to Nursing Departments)
- Attendance in nursing education program (RN, LPN, or C.N.A.) during the Fall semester in which the grant is awarded
Grant Process
Grants are awarded on an annual basis and availability is subject to funds available during the fund year. Eligible associates submit the grant application, resume, and essay entitled “Why I Chose Nursing,” and a letter of recommendation by the first week of March. Applications are reviewed by the Selection Committee as defined by the Advisory Council. The Selection Committee conducts a rigorous review process which includes personal interviews, performance reviews, and reference checks with candidates. Award winners are announced by May 15th.
