Beautification Fund
Bethany Village is a beautiful community with thanks largely due to grounds crew leader Kerry Weaver and the Grounds Team, who take great pride in creating pleasant outdoor vistas for all to enjoy. Over the years, the East landscape has matured into a spectacular display of nature in bloom, while the young landscaping of the West complements the new architecture and promises to be stunning as the vegetation matures.

However, the expansion of the West Cottages drew attention to the undeveloped land that separates the new cottages and a nearby road. To improve the appearance of this area and enhance resident enjoyment, residents came together to create the Bethany Beautification Committee. They set a fundraising campaign in motion to support a $13,500, three-year plan.
As of January 2011, approximately $10,000 to fund the project has been given by Bethany residents as well as Bethany and Asbury administration and Board members.
In November 2010, the project began with the planting of 35 saplings. This will be followed by 35 in the fall of 2011, and 30 in 2012. Seven species of trees will provide a generous sprinkling of conifers to soften the somewhat stark wintertime appearance of hardwoods in the fledgling forest. Bethany Village has committed to plant an additional 50 trees and shrubs beyond those included in the three-year plan.
Thanks to the vision of the committee and the generous monetary support of many, there is no doubt that a beautiful, serene landscape will become a reality in a once undeveloped, overgrown parcel of land.
